Learner Response:

Going into more detail, during the trailer I will use close up shots during the starting in order to leave a familiar face in the audiences mind, I will repeatedly show the main characters face so it can stay in the mind of the public and they will also find it easier to see what mood she is in from her expressions. She is supposed to start of seeming very relieved and this has to come across to the audience because they must know that she is happy to be getting away from her parents and moving in by herself. I will also repeat close ups on the daughter of my main character so that people understand she is a significant figure in the story and they should get familiar and build a sympathetic relationship with this character because towards the middle of the trailer she is abducted. There will be medium, wide and extreme wide shots so that the audience can see the setting and costume on the characters. The costume and setting is extremely important seeing as it makes it very clear what type of environment the character is living in and the costume should make it obvious that the character is a teenager. She will be dressed in basic teenage girl clothing which people would usually stereotype for a teenage girl. For example, jeans, crop tops, trainers, tracksuits, make-up etc. She is not suppose to wear clothes that come across too luxurious (e.g Gucci, Louis Vuitton) because she is a single mum and I will be enforcing the stereotype of single mums not having much disposable cash on my main character. In order to not see her negatively I will show her applying for jobs and calling places asking them if they need help. I will also make my character have a hobby (e.g painting) so she seems quite ambitious however I will make it a prominent fact that she does not have a lot of money to spend and receives benefits. She is going to be highlighted as a good mum so the audience sympathise when her daughter is kidnapped.
