Lighting: still image analysis
Identify examples of high and low-key lighting.Say which depict top, back or under lighting. What effects are created by the lighting in each image?
In this still image we can see low-key lighting used which is normal for horrors.
In the first image you could say there is use of top lighting because the light entering through the window seems to be sun-light therefore it would be positioned from above, This creates a more natural light because it doesn't seem like a over exaggerated type of mood,it just makes it more romantic.
In the second image we can use of back lighting which only hits one side of the character and this makes the horror even more scary because it isn't as clear as you would want the villain to be but this is done on purpose. It sets the scene even more and it is deliberately done this way.
